The Croft School to Create Four 100% Scholarships for Qualifying K1 and K2 Students

Innovative New Private School Also Increases Financial Assistance Available to Middle Class Families in Response to Financial Impact of COVID-19

In recognition of our challenging, unprecedented time, and the resulting financial unknowns and anxieties of the weeks, months, and years ahead, The Croft School has established a total of four new 100% full scholarships for Boston students whose families cannot or will not be able to afford private school tuition.  The scholarships will be awarded to four qualifying students who enroll at The Croft School beginning this September for the school's inaugural 2020-21 school year.  These four scholarships, which remain in effect all the way through Grade 6, collectively represent more than $500,000 in financial support.

The application window for these newly-created scholarships will run from Thursday, April 9, through Thursday, April 30th.  The application designed specifically for these four (4) full scholarship seats can be found HERE.

Separately, The Croft School has announced that it is increasing its overall financial aid fund for the 2020-21 school year by more than $100,000 to provide additional access to middle class families across Boston.  For families applying to Croft who are not seeking a full scholarship, the application can be found HERE.

While The Croft School is almost fully enrolled, it has a handful of remaining open seats for students who will be 4-years-old (K1) or 5-years-old (K2) as of this September.  Interested families should visit the schools website (www.thecroftschool.org) to learn more about the school.

"Promoting socioeconomic diversity has been core to The Croft School's approach ever since the vision for the school was first conceived," said Peter Cipparone, Head of School.

"Now more than ever, we believe our commitment to provide access to all families, regardless of means, should be paramount," added Cristina Smith, a Co-Founder.

The Croft School is a small, child-centered private school that will open this fall near Forest Hills in Jamaica Plain.  The school will launch with a K1 and K2 classroom, eventually expanding into a K1 through Grade 6 school.  The school emphasizes a small, tight-knit, relationship-driven environment with outstanding teachers; a balanced pedagogical approach mixing strong core academics, project-based learning, enrichment, play, and weekly trips throughout Boston; and a unique concierge-style approach with our families, providing them with high levels of communication and support.
